Oil & gas
We offer materials testing, environmental analyses and other services to the oil and gas industry, and can boast solid expertise within these fields.
Years of experience and modern laboratories for offshore environmental and R&D analyses.
SINTEF Norlab has conducted offshore environmental monitoring projects since the nineties. Sediment analyses from a number of installations in the North Sea, the Barents Sea and the Norwegian Sea formed the basis for this service area. Since around 2000, we have also routinely conducted work environment surveys/analyses and analyses of produced water.
SINTEF Norlab is one of Norway’s largest laboratory service companies for qualification and testing of welding procedures. At our test laboratory and our mechanical workshop, we conduct destructive tests in accordance with NORSOK, ASTM, and other specifications. Our microscopy and chemical laboratory offer complete micro-investigations in addition to in-depth damage investigations following fractures or material defects.
Services for oil & gas
We deliver accredited analyses of all required analysis parameters for the environmental monitoring of produced water.
